The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barber requires all applicants to be 17 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED. We will be happy to assist and advise any student with their financial aid needs.

For those who qualify, Rivertown offers four types of Financial Aid:

• Pell Grants - Grants provide money to help students further their education. For many students, these grants provide a "foundation" for a career. Unlike loans, these grants do not have to be repaid.
• Direct Loans - Students attending Rivertown may apply for low interest loans. Visit or call the Admissions Office for more information.
• V.A. Benefits - Rivertown School of Beauty has met the standards set forth by the Veteran's Administration, and therefore is an eligible institute for Veteran's Benefits. Eligible students should contact the Admissions office.
• Independent Financing - For those who do not qualify for other types of financial aid, we offer independent in house financing.

Rivertown School of Beauty, Barber, Skin Care & Nails is nationally accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE). All courses offered at the school are approved by the Georgia State Board, COE and accepted by the Department of Education. The school is certified by the Department of Education and therefore qualifies to participate in the Title IV programs of financial assistance.
